You know how you want to show up.
So why is it so difficult in the moments that matter most?
Parenting can bring out reactions that only make sense once we slow the moment down.

Beneath the Moment helps you understand the patterns underneath those reactions, so you have more choice in how you respond.

Every reaction has roots.
What happens in the moment is only part of the story. When we look a little closer, we can begin to notice what may be shaping the way we respond.

The Pattern Sequence
What we do in a difficult moment is often shaped by much more than the behavior we can see.
1. Moment
The visible trigger that starts the sequence.
1
2
2. Body
What happens in your body first.
3. Emotion
The feeling that begins to rise.
3
4
4. Meaning
What the moment seems to mean.
5. Adaptation
The protective move you instinctively reach for.
5
6
6. Response
What you do on the outside.
7
7. Relationship
What happens between you afterward.
Awareness gives us somewhere to begin.
Once we can see what's happening beneath the reaction, we can choose what we want to cultivate instead.
01 — SAFETY
Can I stay with myself?
Can I remain grounded enough to stay present with what is happening?
02 — CONNECTION
Can I stay with you?
Can I remain in relationship with my child even when we disagree or I need to hold a boundary?
03 — AUTHENTICITY
Can we both stay ourselves?
Can both parent and child remain real people without either needing to disappear to preserve the relationship?
Not steps to perfect. Places to return to.
Because the goal isn’t simply getting through this moment. It’s building a relationship where boundaries, big feelings, disagreement, mistakes, and repair can exist without either of you having to lose yourselves.
What might we explore together?
Coaching gives us space to slow down the moments that keep repeating, understand what may be shaping them, and practice responding in ways that better reflect the parent you want to be.

01 — THE MOMENT
What happens in the moment
Notice what happens in your body, emotions, thoughts, and impulses when a difficult parenting moment begins to unfold.
Triggers • emotional regulation • overwhelm • reactivity

02 — BENEATH
What lives beneath it
Explore the beliefs, meanings, needs, learned responses, and earlier experiences that may be influencing how the moment feels.
Beliefs • needs • protective patterns • inherited messages

03 — GROWTH
What you choose to grow
Practice boundaries, communication, repair, and new responses that support greater safety, connection, and authenticity.
Boundaries • repair • connection • intentional response
Start with one moment.
You don’t have to understand every pattern or change everything at once. Start with one moment that keeps repeating. Slow it down, notice what’s underneath, and see what becomes possible from there.
The way we meet these ordinary moments becomes part of what our children learn about themselves, relationships, boundaries, emotions, and love.
